Just stopping by with my best wishes for Marta. I already have the book, so if anyone hasn't read it yet, I say put it at the top of your to-do list!

Sounds like a cool series. After Happy Hour at Casa Dracula, comes Midnight Brunch and The Bride of Casa Dracula.

lrwirum - Aren't they just clever titles? The books are a lot of fun. You just can't help but laugh at the positions Milagro finds herself in.

lesha - Thanks for stopping by!

ash - I agree, they should be at the top of everyone's TBR pile. :)

This is an amazing book! The next book in the series is Midnight Brunch, I love the tag line from the book: "Come for a drink. Stay for a bite." it's too perfect. Oh and I believe the book after that will be called "The Bride of Casa Dracula" if I'm remembering it correctly.

And if Marta get's to read these, Hi! This is Rebecca A.K.A. SoAccidentlyCool, from myspace!

I haven't read Happy Hour at Casa Dracula yet. This sounds like a fun series.

MIDNIGHT BRUNCH is the sequel to HAPPY HOUR AT CASA DRACULA and the next book in the series is THE BRIDE OF CASA

MIDNIGHT BRUNCH .. I can't wait to read it!

Thanks everyone for all your great comments! Ash, always nice to see you, and Rebecca, thanks for reading my MySpace bulletin!

Titles are sometimes so difficult. My title for the first book was BITE ME, but my editor thought it was too vulgar. After some time, we came up with HAPPY HOUR AT CASA DRACULA.

The second book will be published with an altered title, MIDNIGHT BRUNCH AT CASA DRACULA, when it comes out in mass market paperback next year.

And THE BRIDE OF CASA DRACULA just seemed like a natural fit for the third book.

I have not read Happy Hour at Casa Dracula or MIDNIGHT BRUNCH however I have heard nothing but good things about both books and they are on my to be bought list.

Hi, ChristyJen, Tez, Carmen, Pamk, and hme,

Thanks for coming by! If you don't win Casa Dracula, I do hope you'll pick up or order a copy. Many libraries have copies -- and, like my character Milagro, I am a big fan of supporting our local libraries.

I've heard great things about this series but I haven't read it yet. I love the titles! they're so funny.

And it's The Bride of Casa Dracula! :)

Thanks to everyone for stopping by! I envy those writers who have really clever titles for their series, like Charlaine Harris's titles.

I was amused when another publisher copied one of my titles and asked comic writer Mark Henry to call his first novel Happy Hour of the Damned. Mark's book features zombies and will be coming out in January 2008.

Mark Henry's an ace bloke. The book was originally titled THE UNDEAD SOCIALITE'S GUIDE TO LIFE, but you know what publishers can be like with titles ;-)

By the way, Marta, he's just received ARCs, and I'm sure he'd like you, as an author, to blurb it if you ask nicely ;-)

Have a lovely day! :-)

Hi, Linda, if you don't win Kimberly's contest, you can always keep checking on my site for future contests.

Hi, Tez, Mark Henry has a good friend in you! We've already been in contact and I'll be interviewing him about Happy Hour of the Dead when it comes out.

Just checked out your blog. Here's my suggestion for Shift: send an e-file of the manuscript to a pal in the U.S. to print out and mail for you, thus saving you the cost and time of mailing from Down Under. Good luck!

Many thanks for your suggestion, Marta - it's a good one, and it's an honour to have you visiting my blog :-)

Have a lovely day! :-)

The Bride of Casa Dracula is the next book in the series, but hopefully not the last.

All of these books sound fun, and the titles are so cute! The next books are Midnight Brunch and The Bride of Casa Dracula. I like funny books and vampires, so I think I'd like these :)

Kimberly Swan said...

Wow Marta...lots of people hoping to win that copy of Happy Hour at Casa Dracula! Good luck everyone! :)

See that, those clever titles have drawn even more interest! Now I'll have to take a peek at Happy Hour of the Damned. :)

Hi, Cassie, do give them a try!

Also, I'd like to mention to paranormal fans that if you write books, reviews or blog on the topic, please send me an email and I'd be happy to post a link on my paranormal entertainment blog, Vampire Wire.

I try to post a variety of links -- and today I've got a short video of a movie with Jon Bon Jovi fighting vampires!

Sounds like a great read!

Oooo. I must clear something up. My publisher did ask that I change the title of my zombie comedy, The Undead Socialite's Guide to Nightlife. But, I was the one that suggested Happy Hour of the Damned (it was either that or Cocktails with Evil Spirits). So technically, I swiped it. Except, I'd never heard of Marta's book before the deal went through. But now that I have, I'm happy to be in such awesome company.

Milagro Rocks!
