Dr. Megan Chase has just taken on a new job counseling callers on a radio show, and with so many people in need of slaying their personal demons Megan has her hands full. She may be able to help them cast aside the little voices they hear, but with each one she stops from committing harmful acts Megan’s digging her way into deeper trouble.

Greyson Dante is a fire demon sent to recruit Megan, but somewhere along the way he takes more of an interest in her life and welfare. He’s aware that she unknowingly carries within her important information about The Accuser, an entity that every demon fears. In an effort to keep her alive he enlists the help of three demon brothers, Maleficarum, Malleus and Spud, to guard Megan and keep her out of trouble.

Megan finds herself fighting off demons, defending her past to a determined reporter and being stalked by Arthur Bellingham to volunteer time as a counselor for his Fearbuster group. Greyson is by her side, sharing forbidden knowledge and lending her the strength to stand against her enemies. Now it’s up to Megan to remember her past and set things right for the future.

In this first book of the Megan Chase series, Ms. Kane reels readers in with a brilliant concept and keeps them fully engaged while the heroine is forced to accept something beyond her wildest imagination. Fast moving action, deadly confrontations in vivid detail, and a scorching romance make Personal Demons a great read. The second book, Demon Inside, is currently scheduled as a January 2009 release.

WOW. Fantastic review Kimberly. I'm thinking of getting this one after reading your great analysis of the book - you always manage to get to the heart of the story in a few short paragraphs. As usual, you are one 'hot' reviewer LOL

Great review, I just read this one a few days ago and liked it a lot.

So I was checking your coming review when I saw something made me choke on a piece of cracker - you're reviewing Cry Wolf??

Kimberly.. WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME CRY?! lol.

Thanks jessewave! You'll love Greyson. *grin*

Wendy - Glad you got to read it. Lucky for us Ms. Kane has a great imagination. :)

That makes us even...I can't be eating or drinking when I read your blog posts either. lol Yes, I have Cry Wolf here! Exciting, right? :)

No tears Wendy, it'll be a little while before I get to read it.

Hey! they're not that bad! Ok, the circumcision one was a bit, um, bloody but that's all.

No tears indeed, I've got an evil, evil plan to get an ARC of the book *rubs hands together in glee!* Here's hoping it works! hee.

More often than not it's because you have me laughing (and only occasionally the gory details of your intense schooling). *grin*

*gasp* You....evil plan? I'm sure that I should be shocked, but for some odd reason I'm totally not. lol

I really enjoyed this book too. It's pretty exciting that so many good authors are popping out with series. She's one of my watch authors now. :)

They're gory, alright! And of course you're not shocked, it's me the girl with horns, lol!

SCooper - I expected it to be different and enjoyable because of that, but I found myself smiling through it because it was just that clever. Yes, it really is wonderful that there seems to be an endless number of choices for reading. :)

Wendy - I just hope that more often than not you're still happy that you've decided to go into the medical field. I don't think most people are strong enough to go through what you do. :)
Ah yes, my horned friend (and you know that statement could be so much worse...lmao).

Honestly sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I decided to go into Nursing but I love it so most of the time I'm happy with my decision.

Ohmigod, that comment was TOO much! The things I could say to that! hee!

You know how badly the healthcare field needs you, so I'm glad you do love it most days. :)

Very tempting, right? lol
